The Wyckoff Police Department's Community Policing Bureau sponsored the 2nd Citizen Police Academy.
Citizen Police Academy is an intensive 8-week community training program that provides members of the community with a background and deeper understanding of WPD policies and activities, as well as the structure and limit of police power. The program replicates and condenses a typical Bergen County police recruit training regimen, allowing residents to gain a deeper understanding of skills and abilities that police officers bring to their work in the community.
There were 20 residents who participated in this year's Citizen Police Academy.
Instructors were Detective Sergeant Michael Ragucci, Officer William Christopher, Officer Michael Scalise and Officer Kaitlyn Maglione.
